Energy landscape pavillion
German pavillion at the EXPO 2015 Milan

Architect Schmidhuber created for the EXPO 2015 in Milan, expo with the motto“Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life”, a pavillion involving solar cells in artificial trees.

The pavillion follows the theme "Fields of ideas" also in its exterior shape. “Idea Seedlings” are artificial trees featuring as leaves organic photovoltaic cells. This is a new technology for which the German pavillion was the first large project to use, according to ArchDaily.
