On the 24th of January 2017, the national day of the small unity in Romania a round table took place at the Centre for Architectural and Urban Studies of the "Ion Mincu" University of Architecture and Urbanism in Bucharest. The round table, featuring participants from different disciplines, including philosophy, arts, architecture and urbanism brought together again professors from the host university and from the National University of Arts. Coordinator of the event was Dr. Constantin Hostiuc, secretary general of the centre.
We reported on earlier initiatives of this kind here.
The event was preceded by the launch of an exhibition dedicated to sculpture the day before.
The main idea of the round table was improving public spaces through placing art objects such as sculptural monuments in them, an through this it was continuing the reported initiative which grouped artists and architects to redesign specific squares.
The original LE:NOTRE Projects were co-funded by the European Union's Socrates and Lifelong Learning Programmes.
