Frei Otto became known with the World Exhibition in Montreal, but the cover of the Olympia stadion in Munich, where the landscape plan was done by Behnisch and Partner shadowed this. The architect's free structures to cover large spans are an example of the innovation for which the Pritzger prize was given.
The archive at the saai includes numerous models which were now exhibited. The Karlsruhe Institute of Technology offered a guided tour for the alumni in frame of the meeting.
