Câmpulung Muscel is a municipality at the foot of the Carpathians about which we reported previously. In this city a series of Romanian-Spanish restoration workshops took place from 2008 on, to be continued with the UNISCAPE workshop this year.
The project for the restoration of the public spaces in the centre we reported on was also presented at the plenary in Bucharest, as well as teaching aspects on countryside heritage such as agricultural space and the rural space of the RPER encounters in Bucium.
It was followed by shorter presentation on research to introduce to the topic nature and culture, including that of Campulung.
In Campulung itself after a guided tour the workshop took place, with students working on site.
The president of UNISCAPE was present as well, and discussed with the leadership of "Ion Mincu" University of Architecture and Urbanism.
On the 12th of October, the first day of the workshop taking place in Bucharest, also the Romanian Architecture Biennale opened, at which the project in Campulung for the public space was presented. At the same Biennale there was a second volume from the series of architecture documents in Romania presenting the Negru Voda monastery in Câmpulung in building survey, along with the Golesti court which we will present in another report.
