Herastrau park wheel
Herastau park is a park from the 1930s created in the aftermath of the creation of the lake. Herastrau lake is one of the Emerald necklace of Colentina, the subject of the Le Notre forum in 2015. The park also hosted an exhibition that time, Luna Bucurestilor.
Later on, the Village museum was created in an area of the park, one of the most visited Romanian museums and a must see in Bucharest.
The northern shore of the lake however features mainly gastronomy. Recently a new wheel was designed by Cristina Gociman architecture office, thus improving public facilities (see image).
The original LE:NOTRE Projects were co-funded by the European Union's Socrates and Lifelong Learning Programmes.
The LE:NOTRE Institute has been established by ECLAS as foundation under Netherlands Law.
