From the national importance of a landscape to organised public events in the free space
Sinaia is a mountain resort of national importance in Romania, and current developments are in line with this status. Apart of the rich architectural heritage situated in a scenic landscape, events are making the life of those seeking leisure full along summer and winter as well.

Sinaia is a
mountain resort of national importance in Romania. It is the place where the
Royal castles Peleș and
Pelișorare located. The
landscape around the castles, with the small river which inspired their name,
also inspired fairy tales of the first Queen of Romania, writer under the
pseudonym Carmen Sylva.

the main boulevard is being restored with European funds. At one end of the
boulevard is situated a hotel complex, including Păltiniș hotel, a former bath curation hotel, and at the
other end the central park. This park is location of summer events, such as a
trade fair of traditional products, a music festival including “Jazz in the
park”, a film festival, but also the accordance of the trophy of the Sinaia
rally in the neighbouring casino, taking place on the wending streets around the castles and the monastery
importance of parks in resorts is not to be neglected, apart of the natural
landscape. The promenade is part of resort architecture. The music festival also extended to the castle terrace. Archive research in the National Archives of Romania revealed that the castle was foreseen with winter gardens. Also the partial Art Nouveau interior decoration shows a connection to the vegetal world stylised in Art Nouveau.
