23-25 April Bucharest celebrated light. Numerous buildings in the centre, mainly on Calea Victoriei became coloured multimedia facades through projection, while there were also installations of light globes.

Media facade and installation at Spotlight festival
The City hall of Bucharest organised 23-25 April 2015 the first edition of the Spotlight festival, a festival of light. Through this festival public spaces of Bucharest shall be regenerated by offering a different experience at night. 2015 if the UNESCO year of light.
Facades of historic buildings were coloured lighted and intercalated with light installations in places.
Hundreds of people attended the event.
The event took place during the Le Notre landscape Forum in Bucharest, providing a different view of the city.
Spotlight is not the only event aiming at a revitalisation of public spaces in Bucharest, previous editions of the Days of Bucharest featuring temporary installations such as nomad gardens, at day.
Researchers at the "Ion Mincu" University of Architecture and Urbanism dealt with the issue of media and facades in various European cities, and this event alligns Bucharest with them.
The Christmas fair in Bucharest Piata Universitatii creates partially such lighted facades as well.
