Landscape project wins prize at the Romanian Architecture Biennale 2014
in the section on urban planning

In June 2014 we reported on greening the towers, among others on a project for a roof garden included in the Le Notre database. This project won the prize of the public space and urban planning secion at the Romanian Architecture Biennale. The jury appreciated that unlike other vision projects in urban planning this was a realised project.

Cerasella Craciun's project for the garden at the "Promenada" mall, just next to the same name tower in Northern Bucharest, which features the green walls we reported about in July won the prize of the Romanian Architecture Biennale public space and urban planning section. With this, there is a second project with landscape component getting a prize at this exhibition-competition.
Images of this landscaped terrace can be seen at the webpage of the competition-exhibition
Cerasella Craciun is the coordinator of the landscape architecture and urbanism section at the "Ion Mincu" University of Architecture and Urbanism, an associate member of the Le Notre project. The project plans are also included in the Le Notre database.
The project has been submitted by the Romanian Order of Architects for consideration for the Mies van der Rohe prize, a common endeavour of the Mies van der Rohe foundation and the Council of Europe. On the dedicated webpage there you can find information in English
